Doing well

Hello again
All the chickens are doing well. The try to come into the house so it's very hard to go outside or inside. The dogs try to go out and the chickens try to come in. I took the neighbors a dozens eggs the other day and I had to give the chickens bread and run away so that they wouldn't follow me. :)

This morning I had a sandwich with one of their eggs in it. We have almost three dozens eggs in the fridge and we don't even eat that many eggs. Hahaha. ;)

Sorry I haven't posted in a reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaally long time.
I'm afraid I have some bad news. I have good news too, though! First the bad news. Fluff, my brahma, died after my dogs accidentally killed her. We buried her in the yard near the tree that the chickens used to play near, and I planted lilys around her grave. Also Stripe, one of the rode island reds died. The chickens were running around the yard and then suddenly there were six. We think that a fox got her or something. :(

Now the good news. The chickens are doing extremely well. Chirpy is infact a rooster. We are getting four to six eggs a day! We keep trying to give people eggs! Haha. Chirpy I so protective that he freaks me out sometimes. The chickens love me thought. I think Sunshine thinks I'm her mommy. They follow me constantly. They are so cute. I love having chickens! :)

Up and up and up they grow

The chicks are getting so big!!! They are growing so much that we can hardly call them chicks any more. Today I took Spot, Fluff, and Sunshine outside. They went in a tree! They stood on the tinniest branches, I was worried that they would fall but they never did. They loved it! Little fluff didn't want to leave (:

However I took the chicks outside today. They were so cute.

Outside

We took the chicks outside for the first time the other day. They were so cute. The ran around and pecked at bugs. They even learned how to eat bugs out of the air. To day I took Cirpy, Jitterbug, and Dinosaur outside. Dino was so scared that she kept flying onto my shoulder. Once she was actually so hectic that she got tangled in my hair.

Getting bigger!!

The chicks are growing so much. All of them have lots new pinfeathers, all except Fluff. She is still covered in baby fluff. She only has a little bit of feathers on her wings. They are getting big enough to climb on to the side of the box, so we changed the box and taped the sides up. They now like to climb on the perch an jump/fly to the other side of the box.

So cute

All the chicks are extremely cute and so fun to watch. Last night I spent almost half an hour watching them, so I didnt get to bed until 10:30 pm ( I usually go to bed around 9:00 ). Today I introduced the chicks to the dogs. The dogs ( A.T. and Luna ) were so excited that they wouldn't be quiet or stop pawing the door for almost an hour!
